Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian who has been living in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael received her NIDA degree. Since her early years, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of performance and visionaries working behind the scenes of film, television and theatre. Yael is an internationally acclaimed actor in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has relocated from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of Music's production of the show was a critical successful. Yael is the co-founder the company The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative creativity, writing and artistic endeavors through it's Bushwick studio.
